Museum Santiago Ydáñez Proposal / Matteo Cainer Architects

Courtesy of Matteo Cainer Architects Matteo Cainer Architects shared with us their proposal for the Museum Santiago Ydáñez in the town of Puente de Génave, Spain which expresses the relationship between the work of the artists, the site and the building program. Through an engaging, energetic and permeable design, they conceive a musical rhythm where the new museum becomes a reactive and interactive part of its landscaped setting through the intersection of the integrated and sculpted grids. Dreamland Margate / Assael Architecture

Courtesy of Assael Architecture Assael Architecture recently shared its vision for the Dreamland Margate, one of Britain’s most famous seaside amusement parks, into whether Thanet District Council will be allowed to compulsorily purchase the former fun park. Assael is the fifth architectural practice to be appointed and the only one to protect and reuse the Grade II* Cinema and Scenic Railway as part of a low density housing scheme designed to attract inward investment.

Verdun Cultural Center / Saucier + Perrotte Architectes

The strategy unites the disparate elements of the program by covering them with a unique material that reinforces the monumental character of the building. Blue Mountains Architecture Master Class

Courtesy of Architecture Foundation Australia Architecture Foundation Australia will be presenting the Blue Mountains Architecture Master Class , a residential studio based one week program being held with Rick Joy in the Blue Mountains Australia with Richard Leplastrier and Peter Stutchbury . The program will be a studio based design ‘charette’, undertaken in small groups, for a project (yet to be determined), on a site within walking distance of the venue. Suggested themes include the exploration of architectural strategies that can moderate between the permeation of the external envelope in Australian coastal architecture and how this might confront more harsh climates and locations.
